Laurie O’Brian PP PHF 23-08-21

Laurie was inducted as a Paul Harris fellow last July. and was a long time friend of Rotary regularly involved in adjudicating the inter club debates through Youth Service. He also volunteered to assist when required in major events the club was involved in. He was chairman of the Euroa Gift committee the club was involved with in recent times.

Laurie also had a tremendous influence on the lives of many other people in our community through his involvement in education and sport. He was a past president and long time supporter of the Euroa Football Netball Club, Chairman of the Memorial Oval committee and held roles of President, Secretary, Vice President and numerous coaching and playing roles with the Euroa Cricket Club.

He was a tireless and truly selfless servant to the Euroa community over many years and many will have fond memories of his larger than life personality and willingness to help those around him.

John Sullivan 23-08-21

John was inducted in the year of Geoff Webster's presidency in 1978 with the classification of Pharmacy.

He was a past President of the Euroa Apex club and participated in numerous activities in the community over a period of many years in particular as President and Historian of the Euroa Hospital.

He served on the clubs International Service committee and on club projects including the Royal Art Show and work experience for local students. His father Tom Sullivan was a club charter member.

He was a keen golfer and a renowned photographer and his role as the local pharmacist was vital to the town of Euroa and the surrounding district.

Eddie Asquith 23-08-21

Eddie was inducted in September 1976 with the classification as Store Manager. Club President that year was Norm O'Neill. He had previously been an active member of the Euroa Apex club. He served as Rotary Club Secretary in 1978/79. He was also a very active member of the Euroa SES where he and his wife Shirley were the coordinators of the Driver Reviver program for close to 20 years. He was a very knowledgeable and professional radio operator and assisted in the training of many new members in the use of radios during SES operations.

Eddie was also a very good cricketer and featured in Euroa’s successful representative teams over a period of high achievement. He was a well known and popular part of the staff at Burtons for many years and will be remembered as a knowledgeable and selfless gentleman by all who knew him.

Rob Morphet PP PHF 10-04-21

PP Rob Morphet was inducted in to the Club on 12th December 1998 - PP John King was his proposer and Club President at the time Rob served the Club as President in 2005/2006. Rob is a Paul Harris fellow.

Prior to joining Rotary he was a longtime member of Apex including a year as District Governor. He was a Life Member of Apex.

Rob was an active contributor in District 9790 through his interest in young people and being a member of the District New Generations Committee. His work on the District Community Service Walking Tall Committee and support of the Centre of Molecular Genetics at the Royal Melbourne Hospital was widely acknowledged. He enjoyed fellowship through his attendance at District Conferences and Club visits and especially at the Rotary International world Convention in 2003 in Brisbane and other R I Conventions and international club visits Euroa Secondary College debating teams

His unfailing work on our barbeque trailer and our other equipment in our shed will be greatly missed in the future.

KEVIN DOWELL PP PHF

We sadly lost Past President and Paul Harris Fellow Kevin Dowell who passed in February 2021.

Kevin was a long time member and active in many projects and a regular at district conferences with wife Shirley.

Kevin was Club President for the year 1979-1980.

GEOFF WEBSTER PP PHF

Long time Euroa Rotary stalwart Geoff Webster passed in July 2020.

Geoff had recently become an honorary member after 51 years of community service with Euroa Rotary club.

He was a Past President, a Paul Harris fellow and served as Secretary of the club for many years.

Geoff  also served on many District Committees and regularly attended District Conferences.
